Dear Friends,

Our prayer is that this finds each of you well and healthy!

As we continue through this unprecedented time in our world, we pray that each of us stand in faith, trusting the Lord for our health and every need.

We have been in close communication with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, to ensure that we are following the guidelines laid out by the province, in relation to the pandemic. These actions are to stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health of Ontarians. Under the state of emergency, seasonal campgrounds are ordered to close and are deemed a non-essential business. It clarifies that individuals who may rely on the camp as their primary residence, are the only exception. Access must be restricted for ALL other individuals. If anyone would like a copy of the letter from the health unit, one can be provided to you. Please email your request.

This past week, we were on a call with the Free Methodist Church in Canada and the leaders of the other Free Methodist campgrounds in Canada. All the camps have followed suit with closures, respecting the mandate of their local municipalities. We are prayerfully considering what the 2020 camp season will bring. Please pray for the leaders of our camps, as they will be making hard decisions regarding the summer programming at our camps.

As we prepare to send out the leases for 2020, we acknowledge that the timing is not great. We also realize that there will be some who have been laid off and find themselves in a tight financial position. If you are needing to discuss your lease, we ask that you would feel free to reach out. We ask that those who are able to pay their invoice, do so. The lease rates remain the same as last year and are posted on our website. Leases will be emailed or mailed out in the next few weeks. Payments can be made online through the website or by mailing in a cheque or series of post-dated cheques, to the camp mailing address.

If you are able to, would you pray about possibly making a further donation to the camp, as we have shortages from 2019 that we would like to try and look after.

We pray for the God of all comfort to surround you and your family at this time and for your faith and trust to be increased, knowing that God loves you and is with you.
